Meet the Leadership Team

  • Tom Hoffner

    Tom Hoffner is an Attorney in private practice and is the Co-founder of the Madison Christian Giving Fund serving as a member of the Grant Committee.  He is a facilitator for Journey of Generosity (“JOG”).  Tom is a lifelong church attender, but adult follower of Christ/ He has been married to Barb since 1969 and they have three adult children and eight grandchildren.

  • Barb Hoffner

    Barb Hoffner serves with Stonecroft Ministries, an outreach ministry for Christ, as a speaker and Bible-study coordinator. She is the Co-founder of the Madison Christian Giving Fund and serves as a member of the Grant Committee. Barb is also a facilitator of Journey of Generosity (“JOG”). She is a lifelong follower of Christ. Barb has been married to Tom since 1969 and they have three adult children and eight grandchildren.

  • Scott Haumersen

    Scott Haumersen is a Partner with Wegner CPAs; joining the company in 1981. For more than 30 years, Scott has helped non-profit organizations to solve problems and find efficiencies by cutting costs to help them reach their potential. Scott is a founding leader of the Madison Christian Giving Fund and manages the grant application process. He has been a believer since 1971. Scott is engaged to Jessica and has three daughters and seven granddaughters.

  • Fred Grossenbach

    Fred Grossenbach is a Bible teacher, strategic planning and performance improvement consultant, fundraising strategist and project manager. He serves as the General Manager of the Madison Christian Giving Fund. Fred has been a Christ follower since 1973. He as been married to his wife Ann since 1963 and has four daughters and 11 grandchildren.

  • Chase Gould

    Chase Gould is a financial advisor with Turnhall Financial Group of Thrivent. Chase’s mission is to help others be the best stewards of their God given resources with an emphasis on tax efficiency. Chase is a recent addition to the board and is still adjusting to their new baby boy at home. He is involved in Jesus Lunch, a Middleton High School ministry and recipient of a MCGF grant, and he has been a Christ-follower since 2012.

  • Dave Sheard

    Dave Sheard is a retired Civil Engineer & Economic Consultant, Past Elder Board and Church Chairman, Bible Student, Charter member and recording secretary for Madison Christian Giving Fund (MCGF). He is also a Member of MCGF Grants Committee. Christ follower for 46 years. Dave and his wife Edi have been married since 1981 and they have two sons and four grandchildren.

  • Edi Sheard

    Edi Sheard is a retired School and Church Administrative Assistant. Current volunteer Administrative Assistant for an international mission organization, Bible Student, Member of Madison Christian Giving Fund since 2019 and serves as the Administrative Assistant and provides Tech support. She is a Christ follower since 1964. Edi has been married to her husband Dave since 1981 and they have two sons and four grandchildren.

  • Diane Hanson

    Diane Hanson works in business development/marketing/training and is the owner of Thinking In Sync and Founder of United Madison. She is a trained chaplain and is a Christian author and speaker. Diane has on the Madison Christian Giving Fund Leadership Team since 2019 and helps with communication and marketing. Diane has been a believer of Jesus as long as she can remember, She is the wife of Tim since 1991 and they have four grown daughters.

  • Gordon Govier

    Gordon Govier has a long history of engaging with the Madison Christian community as the former news director at WNWC Christian radio. Following a subsequent career in communications with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, he currently serves as a grant writer for the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES). He has been on the MCGF leadership team since 2022, representing MadisonChristians.com, a local Christian community internet portal and 2022 MCGF grantee. He became a committed Christian in high school. He and his wife Anne have been married since 1980. They have four grown children and four granddaughters.

  • Susan Decker

    Susan Decker has a Bachelors Degree in Management from Kent State University and worked in accounting for Ford Motor Company, Canton Forging Plant. She and her husband, Jeffrey, have been married since 1974 and Susan focused on raising 3 independent daughters, now all married, and she has a total of 6 grandchildren. During child raising she volunteered at the schools and church including Yorba Linda Friends Church in Care Ministry, supervising volunteer training programs, food pantry, and memorial services. Susan is currently the Ministry Liaison Coordinator for Madison Christian Giving Fund. She has been a follower of Christ since 1984.

  • Jeff Decker

    Jeffrey Decker has a Ph.D. in executive management and has managed, consulted, and taught in his life at work. He is currently a member of Christ Church of Madison. He joined the Leadership Team of the Madison Christian Giving Fund in 2020 and is excited about its future. He is involved with MCGF as Coordinator for Capacity Building Workshops. Jeffrey has been a committed follower of Christ for the past thirty years and he and his wife, Susan, have been married since 1974. They have three married daughters and 6 grandchildren.

  • Josh Hall

    Josh Hall

    Joshua Hall has 22 years of large non-profit experience, leading and managing diverse local and national teams - including 16 years managing various national development fundraising teams, resulting in organizational transformation and increased giving. Joshua has been on the Madison Christian Giving Fund Leadership team since 2019. Joshua has been a Christ follower since 1985. and he has been married to Kim since 2008 and they have two children.

  • Josh Kaurich

    Josh Kaurich is a small business owner involved in two local companies, Blue Edge Energy and Verita Energy. He has been married since 2008 to his wife Jennifer and they have three children. They live in Brooklyn, Wisconsin on a farmette and enjoy evenings around a campfire and taking care of their assortment of animals. The Kaurich family is involved in various non-profits with a special interest in men’s ministry and gospel-based mission work to the poor and vulnerable. He has been involved with the Madison Christian Giving Fund since 2022. Josh has been a believer and known Jesus all his life but began to take the relationship with Christ more seriously starting in 2016.

  • Tom Johnson

    Tom Johnson

    Tom Johnson works at Fearing’s Audio, Video & Security in Business Development. He has served and worked with numerous non-profit organizations and various business sectors for 20 years in the greater Madison area. He lives in Cross Plains with his wife, Gail Johnson, and they have five grown children living in four different states. He has been a believer of Jesus since age 18.

  • Ryan Klund

    Ryan Klund works at the National Christian Foundation Wisconsin (NCF WI) office located in Brookfield. He serves the MCGF Leadership Team as a liaison to NCF WI. Ryan is passionate about helping families give generously to Christ-centered organizations around the world. Ryan has been a Christ-follower since 2011.
